Since I am related to Kathmandu University and I can get connected to the Department of Civil Engineering, Kathmandu University only, I might not get able to write content related to Other Colleges in Nepal but I will try to learn stuff from other colleges to and will try to write about them too.

Civil Engineering contains a lot of stuff inside. It deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment and manmade structures like roads, canals, dams, pipeline buildings, etc.

In a developing country like Nepal, the Scope of Civil Engineering is vast. Infrastructural development is in progress in our country and it is the golden time for civil engineers. For the civil engineer, there is equal challenges and opportunities. Infrastructural development gets a job for civil engineers but on the other hand, in developing countries, it is a much riskier job for civil engineers to create something that has never existed in that place before. Like there is no proper environment to get guidelines from the previous works. But without the risk life of an engineer is not that fun.

There are many colleges in Nepal that teach civil engineering. As much as I remember it is one of the oldest branches of engineering that is taught in our country. We all know that Civil Engineering has always been the most popular branch in our country but now Computer Engineering is becoming popular. Though Computer Engineering might have become popular nowadays the craze of Civil Engineering may not getaway. Since it is a popular branch there might be more queries on this field. I will try to learn the queries and explain them as more as I can.

Civil Engineers have to remain on the site of construction. So, they must know how to do supervision in the construction sites, they must know the knowledge of surveying. The knowledge of structure is very much important for the Civil Engineer and except that they must have the knowledge of Fluid because Civil engineering does not only concern with the construction of structures on the land but also concern about the construction of an underwater structure.
